Matthew J. Husak, CPA
Joins Parkvale as Vice President
and Director of Audit and Compliance Risk
MONROEVILLE, PA, August 18, 2009 -On August 3, 2009, Matthew J. Husak joined Parkvale Bank as Vice President and Audit/Compliance/Risk Director. As Director of this Department, Matt will be responsible for monitoring the Bank's Audit/Compliance/Risk Programs, representing the Bank in all regulatory exams and independent audits, and assessing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Banks operations. He brings to this position valuable knowledge and insight from 19 years of experience and expertise, eleven of which were at two of the Big Four accounting firms.
Before joining Parkvale, Matt worked for KPMG as Senior Manager-Audit with responsibilities for overseeing the audit of the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation as well as other local financial institutions. Additionally, he served as a member of KPMG's national training instructor team and quality review team. From March 1998 to July 2005, Matt worked as Senior Manager-Assurance and Advisory Business Service for Ernst & Young, LLP where he managed large-scale integrated audits as well as Sarbanes-Oxley implementations for Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, his experience included developing corporate-wide risk management and self-assessment processes and internal audit risk assessments for various clients. Prior to March 1998, Matt held various audit positions at the PNC Financial Services Group, Inc and at First National Bank of Pennsylvania.
Matt earned his Masters in Finance from Robert Morris University and a BA Degree in Accounting from Grove City College. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
