MONROEVILLE, PA, AUGUST 7, 2008—Parkvale President Robert J. McCarthy, Jr. and his wife, Jean are to be Honorary Co-Chairs and presenting sponsors of HEARTH’s 7th annual Art of Wine and Food Extravaganza on September 25, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Pittsburgh’s National Aviary. The event encourages participants to enjoy samplings of fine wine and gourmet food while bidding on silent auction items.
Parkvale has a long tradition of supporting local organizations with gifts of employees’ time and money. HEARTH has been a chosen organization of Parkvale’s Steel City Team for the past 8 years with Parkvale as a sponsor of the Art of Wine and Food since inception 7 years ago. HEARTH is an organization that offers transitional housing and job training for homeless women with children.
Restaurants contributing to the cause include Monte Cello’s Italian Restaurant, Palomino, Gateway Clipper, Enrico’s Restaurant, Jenny Lee Bakery and the Melting Pot, among many others. A sampling of beverage purveyors includes Capital Wine and Spirits, D’Andrea Wine and Liquor Imports, Inc., Rex Goliath Wines and Barefoot Distributors.
